LAST DINNER ON THE TITANIC, SERVED AT RAYANNE HOUSE, BELFAST, MAY 31ST, 2011

This was a quite special and moving evening; on the 100th anniversary of the launch of RMS Titanic at Belfast, we set off for beautiful Rayanne House, a Belfast mansion that overlooks the famous Lough.

From these beautiful gardens, the occupants watched Titanic sail out for her sea trials on April 2nd, 1912.

And here, on the centenary of the great liner’s launch, we were served a sumptuous, course by course recreation of the last meal served in First Class on the Titanic on the fateful evening of April 14th, 1912.

The food, ambiance and service offered here on this night is something that I will never forget. And, happily, the company was right up there with the food.

Course by course, here it is. The exception is a Rose Water and Mint Sorbet, served between the Asparagus Salad and the Filet Mignon Lili.

Bon apetit. Welcome to Titanic…..
